HeroPal privacy policy

In short: HeroPal plans your child's day. We keep only what that needs, we never sell data and there are no ads in the app.

What stays only on your phone: the child's profile (optional nickname, month and year of birth, interests, goals), plans, check-ins, sleep, the hero and the child's book. Photos in the "Child's book" never leave the phone.

What reaches us, only if you create an account: your email address and password (stored as an irreversible hash), plus a copy of the data above so you can get it back on another phone. Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) and stored on servers in the European Union.

Artificial intelligence: for the story of the day, tips, the menu, recipes and games we send our AI provider (Anthropic) only the nickname, age in years, interests, food preferences and how yesterday went. We do not send the date of birth, location, email or photos. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

Location: if you use "Outdoors", we use your approximate area (rounded to about 1 km) to find parks and playgrounds (OpenStreetMap) and the weather (Open-Meteo). We do not keep your exact location and never share it with other users.

Subscriptions: payment goes only through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details. We learn the subscription status from RevenueCat, the service that manages subscriptions.

Measuring our ads: on iOS the app tells Meta (Facebook) about a few events: the app was installed, setup was finished, and a free trial or subscription started (with its price). This only tells us which of our ads work. We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not use your device's advertising identifier, and nothing about your child is sent. Test purchases are not reported.

Errors: when the app hits an error we receive a technical report (the error message and the screen) so we can fix it. Reports are deleted automatically within 90 days.

Children: the app is meant for parents. The child has no account, does not talk to other users and sees no ads.

Your rights: you can export or delete all your data at any time, right in the app (Settings › Your data). To delete your account, see the account deletion page.
